  3. Hi Fatheha, I’m really sorry but I don’t have a recipe for handesh. I will ask around to see if I can get one for you since I have been asked for the recipe by other readers. Thanks for posting.

  4. Thanks for this great site! Please try get handesh recipe and also mach biran recipe. Keep up the good work. I like the fact that you include a picture.

  5. Hi, I am still working on getting the handesh recipe although I deliberately omitted it from the site since it’s not exactly healthy or quick. However, I do aim to please and will do my best to get it. Mach Biran is on the site under the “from the sea” section. Thanks for visiting!

  6. handesh recipe is a great idea

  7. The idea of putting the bangla words next to the english names is amazing. It makes it really easy to relate to the recipe. If you know how to make kacchi biryani please help. I miss hajir biryani 🙁

  8. Liked this. Interesting stuff.

  9. How about some spicy, green veggies dish with saffron?

  10. I really want to eat now 😉 I’ll give a try to this recipe…

  11. I really enjoy your site and cook the dishes from time to time. It’s my one-stop site for bangladeshi recipes.

However, I would love to see a paya recipe on your site. Same goes for haleem. I have been looking to make some lately. 🙂

  12. Hi I have a question, I am in nursing school in a nutrition class and my assignment is to prepare a meal for an Indian family of 4 that are lactose intolerant I was thinking about using Chicken korma for my main dish but I have to use all of the food groups? Do you have any suggestions. We are trying to keep in as close to what is traditionally ate but just modifying the dish so they don’t have the dairy. If you do have suggestions I would greatly appreciate hearing form you. Thanks so much Josh

  13. Hi Josh, my husband is lactose intolerant so i use goat yogurt or coconut milk. Both ways taste amazing! Sorry for the delayed response!

  14. I just found your website and I cannot wait to try some of these delicious dishes I see on here. I love chicken korma but they do not make that here in Seattle and if they do not everyone knows how to fix it. I can now make it myself with your recipe! I use to live in NY and dying to get back there to eat all of the delicious food! Keep the recipes coming..

  15. Hi Whitney, thanks for posting your comment. I would love for you to post a comment on how your chicken korma turned out as well as any other dishes you make from the site. Thanks again!

  17. This is the most amazing website. Most of the recipes follow the traditional method my mum has taught me, and I’m trying out the dishes. Do you have a recipe for tarka daal or any daal?

  18. Hi Jasmeen! Thank you so much for your kind comment. I do have some lentil recipes. They are under the section ‘from the land’ – here’s the link. Enjoy!
